Disposal of IM - Instructions
Disposal Form

 Expired 2010

 Expired 2011

TEA Materials that expired 2010-2011

There are several options to dispose of textbooks that are no longer on state contract which are considered out-of-adoption.

We strongly encourage you to first make these available to students.  Donating these textbooks will benefit the student, since they can be taken home and used for reference.

Expired textbooks may also be retained by your campus and use for reference, teaching aids, or library use.
*If you choose to retain this material, be sure to mark the sides of each book OOA (Out-Of-Adoption) to ensure they are not included with your state adopted textbook inventory.

Any remaining out-of-adoption textbooks that were not donated to students or retained by the campus, you may return them to our warehouse for donation to a non-profit entity or recycling.

Please submit the
Disposal of IM form and observe the following guidelines.

§  Textbooks must be neatly stacked placed on pallets for an efficient transfer. (Your campus custodian may know if there are any pallets within your campus.  If not, submit a work order to Central Warehouse)

§  Pallets must be placed approximately 2’ away from the wall in an area where they can be easily accessible to.

§  Do not over-stack pallets….should be no more than 3’ high.

Contact our office at 632-8848 when pallets are ready.
→  Pallets will be shrink-wrapped by Textbooks staff and picked up by Warehouse Moving Crew
at their earliest convenience
