The Common Application is the recommended form of 241 selective colleges and universities for admission to their undergraduate programs. Many of these institutions use the form exclusively. All give equal consideration to the Common Application and the college's own form.
The college application process should be as simple and streamlined as possible. That is why at www.applytexas.org, you can accomplish a multitude of tasks, including:
- Apply for admission to any Texas public university, as well as to participating community and private colleges.
- Apply for undergraduate, international and graduate admission.
- Copy your submitted application to another institution.
- Submit your application essays on-line.
- Apply for scholarships from participating universities.
- Search for and view both general and university-specific information.
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board was created by the Texas Legislature in 1965 to "provide leadership and coordination for the Texas higher education system to achieve excellence for the college education of Texas students." |
